So I finally have a girlfriend who !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , and she started asking me about Land Rovers last night. I responded with "god damn head gaskets at 106K miles" and "god damn door latches", you know, the stuff that usually happens. Come to find out she bought me one for xmas, 01 S2 SE7 from a friend of hers. Now she is like I don't want to be party to that and called it off. God dammit doesn't mean I didn't want one!

yeah I dont even try with jewelry and clothes for girls anymore. I am building her a large custom cabinet for her condo. Needed, is made by me, and saves probably a grand from someone else doing it

You could also argue that when the stuff breaks you can fix it (you sound mechanically inclined). That, however, should be your last resort.

Oi, that might get interesting.....

By the way, opened the Alpha Klaus the other night. It was nice and roasty, decent mouth feel without being too thick, and had a decent amount of spice in it. And at 6% ABV it was very drinkable. If you find it I'd highly recommend purchasing one.

What women need to understand is that bitching about a car does not equal a hate for that car.

I can bitch for 30 minutes straight about 97 Jetta, but I still love it because it was my first car and served me well for 4 years at $1500.

I also could go on a rant of the LR Discovery, but at the end of the day I would never say no to one. It's on my list of cars to consider as a second vehicle.

They really are kind of like batshit babes aren't they? We can complain about them for hours, but can't wait to ride them again.

it sucked. A/c was dead at 40K miles. And the worst part, rain=windows and sunroof rolled down by themselves. Dry weather, they would roll up, and down only sometimes :)

You should watch the whole series. He's Mark Carwardine ; I'm sure he knows what he's doing.

The kakapo are very - dangerously - tame, so he wasn't doing anything wrong by getting close to it - it's about as dangerous as a chicken. Perhaps some infection risk, but I'm sure he went off and disinfected the cuts.

the engines are actually pretty good if you get one with good head gaskets or replacements. The job is around 2 grand. Either they go between 100K and 110 or never. They always leak, have broken switches, ignition and sunroof among others, broken door latches, radios. Rust issues if you live anywhere where you would want to drive one. BUT they are great as 4wd trucks.
